Can't cry like Sivakarthikeyan says Gautham Vasudev Menon

The press meet of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada saw the director getting candid like never before. Menon who wittily answered the slew of questions thrown at him had interesting things to say about the movie and more. Here's a look at some of them:

• When asked about the reason for the time delay in releasing the movie (over 3 years), the director engaged in some good-humoured banter saying that said that he was unaware himself (of the reason) adding that he cannot cry like Sivakarthikeyan on stages. (the actor recently had an emotional outburst during the press meet of his movie Remo which later went on to become a cine news sensation).

• Menon was not the one to mince his facts when asked about Simbu's absence from the press meet or his open article requesting Simbu for the completion a song shoot; He went on to answer them like a pro by giving out the details. 

• He set the record straight about the Suriya debacle saying that the only reason their collaboration didn't work out was the disagreement on the script. They are however on talking terms. 

 

• He openly revealed that though he is termed the producer of AYM, the money was completely funded by the producers of the Telugu version of the same movie. 

 

• Lastly when questioned on the redundancy of certain subjects in his movies, he promptly answered that he would be happy to direct differently if someone else wrote for him. He concluded by saying that he does what he knows best.
