Mugamoodi Preview - SWOT Analysis 

Jiiva and Mysskin's Mugamoodi is all set to release this Friday, August 31st. Unlike past Mysskin's movies, Mugamoodi has been packaged as a complete family entertainer with a clean 'U' certificate. UTV has proved again that with proper planning and execution, producers can pre-announce months ahead of the release date.

The Kodambakkam's pre-release verdict is already out about Mugamoodi. Often times, these types of verdicts spread by people who watch portions of the movie during various stages of post production have been only as good as predicting a coin toss. 

Strength

• Jiiva's rise to stardom with a long list of prestigious projects in the pipeline will ensure a good opening.

• Mysskin's cult fan following for his style of gripping story-telling conveyed in long shots and unexpected angles.

• K and Karky's "Vaaya Moodi Summa Iruda" topping the charts has significantly helped the pre-release hype and buzz.

Weakness

• Both trailers have received mixed response from public and critics, who clearly expected more from Mysskin.

Opportunity

• Solo release of Mugamoodi is much awaited after dozens of low-budget movies that sank without a trace during the last few weeks. So, fans are in mood to embrace Mugamoodi, if there is positive Word of Mouth.

• It is reported that the movie rights have been sold at healthy distribution price by UTV in Tamil and Telugu. It is critical to register houseful weekend opening shows at 300+ screens to ensure profits within the initial days.

Threat

• Overexposure to recently released blockbuster Hollywood Superhero movies -- Avengers, Amazing Spiderman, Dark Knight Rises pose a threat. This will lead to unavoidable comparisons of these mega-budget English movies to modest budget Mugamoodi.
