Vijay fans across Tamil Nadu have not taken lightly to actor, director Seeman's recent controversial statements about actors in Tamil Nadu entering the field of politics. An apology has been asked from the Naam Tamilar Katchi leader via posters, some of which also state that the ask is 'a demand' and not 'a request'. 

Seeman is facing the ire of these people because recently he made a statement about actors like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan contesting in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in 2021 and said, "These actors, including Vijay, should forget that acting is a qualification to rule the state."

Seeman further added in a disrespectful tone, "The beating defeat we give Rajini and Kamal (in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections) should dissuade any actor from entering politics from hereon".
