Will Thuppakki and Maattrraan clash? 

One of the much expected clashes of 2012 that will not happen is between Thuppakki and Maattrraan. The reason for the expectation among the fans is that both the producers have informally announced August 15th as the tentative release date for their respective movies. So, are these two movies in a collision course to clash with each other.

Who will avert the clash?

The industry insiders and people close to the trade feel sure that the clash is not expected to happen due to one main reason -- Harris Jayaraj. Harris paces his work in such a way to space out the audio and movie releases in order to maximize the potential of his songs.  Also, Harris usually completes his re-recording after the censor certification work is completed and just a few days before the release. So, one can be sure that Harris will not be able to work on both movies simultaneously and be able to release it on the same day. 

Latest Updates about Maattrraan and Thuppakki

Maattrraan which started shooting August of 2011 just completed the climax shoot in Chennai. There are still 2 songs and a few other transition shots remaining to be picturized. Chinmayi who is dubbing for Kajal Agarwal has completed the first half dubbing. Editing and CG work are well in progress simultaneously.

Thuppakki started during the last few weeks of 2011 and has completed almost all the talkie portions in phenomenal speed. AR Murugadoss is working with Harris Jayaraj to compose 4 more songs and some key sequences before calling it done.
