3 - Preview Analysis

Dhanush is flying high with the release of '3'. It is one of the most expected movies this year in Tamil. Due to wide release strategy, 3 is expected to be the biggest opener for Dhanush in his career. This medium budget movie has already done spectacular business for the home production house. One of the estimates claim that home production house of Aishwariya and Dhanush must have made close to Rs. 40 Crores to Rs. 50 Crores so far(including hindi and Telugu rights). To put this in perspective, the money made so far is more than what Rajini had made from any single movie in his Block-buster filled career. Kudos to Director Aishwarya Dhanush who has achieved such enormous success in her first film.

Opportunity

• Nanban and KSY are the only two movies that have lived up to the expectations so far this year. Fans are eagerly waiting after a disappointing last month.

• Other than OKOK which is expected to release on April 13, no other big releases until Billa-2.
