MovieCrow Box Office Report - November 28 to 30

Among last week's releases, Vasanthabalan's Kaaviya Thalaivan was the unanimous choice of everyone. There were also other releases like Aaah and Mosakutty, which failed to kindle any interest. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

 

1. Kaaviya Thalaivan

The movie received rave reviews for the daring vision, but many also felt that the execution could have been better. After Jigarthanda, Siddharth has again impressed with his choice of script. According to a leading distributor, the weekend Tamil Nadu collections have managed to recover AR Rahman's remuneration of Rs 4 crore. With the likes of Vijay and Karthik Subbaraj praising the movie, the box office numbers are expected to improve.

2. Naaigal Jaakirathai

Sibiraj's Naaigal Jaakirathai has managed to attract audience, particularly in the multiplexes. Idoh, the Belgian Shepherd dog, has been the crowd-puller.

3. Aaaah

After Ambuli, director duo Hari and Hareesh could not impress the audience with their second movie. Also, low promotions and production values worked against the movie.

4. Mosakutty

Director Jeevan's Mosakutty took a disappointing opening and the movie is falling down faster than expected.

Other Movies

Kaththi was running across a handful of screens, while last week's releases Vanmam and Kaadu were almost taken off from all screens.
