Visitor Review - Anand Vijayaraghavan

We have always seen Vivek as a comedian and this time around, he dons a serious role, through which he makes a great comeback.  A subtle performance which he has never done before will definitely be acclaimed by the audience.

Plot

A poor priest Bala gets into a critical financial situation to rescue his father. A local goon helps him and becomes his 'friend in need'. In return, Bala makes him a nice human being. A situation arises where Bala has to choose either friendship or his love interest. Bala's decision gives us the climax.

Action

In this movie, Vivek proves himself as a performer, a hero and a seasoned 'artiste'. He has done a similar role in Saamy where he protested against the disbeliefs of people and the untouchability through his comedy . It got mixed reviews as it appeared to be hurting sentiments of a particular community. However, in this movie, he has been entrusted to do the same without hurting anybody's feelings. Swetha as his love interest has done well, though she has to improve a lot to sustain in the industry.

Since Vivek turned as hero, his buddy "Cell Murugan" takes in-charge of the comedy department and tickles us often. Venkatraj as Poochi has an equal space in the movie, who has used his opportunity well. As the whole film revolves around his character, he exhibits his all-round performance. Hopefully we won't see him standing behind the main villain anymore. "Paruththiveeran" Sujatha and Sounder do their role to their best.

Music Direction

Music by Venkat Krishi could hae been better, both BGM and the songs let down the movie at few places. Na. Muththukumar's lines were good, especially in Baby Lokeshwari's song "Amma Romba". R.Kannan's direction in this linear story do not tire us during its running time.

Verdict : Vivek's one man show keep us fairly engaged!
