Sridivya to pair opposite Karthi in Komban?

Karthi will be playing the lead role in Kutti Puli director Muthiah's next film tentatively titled Komban. The film is a rural based flick set in the backdrop of Madurai. Karthi will be sporting a rustic look in this village action entertainer.

There were earlier reports that Lakshmi Menon will be playing the female lead opposite Karthi. The latest we hear is that Sridivya of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam fame is likely to get on board for Komban. Since Lakshmi Menon couldn't accomodate the dates required for this film, the team has zeroed in on Sridivya.

Karthi's upcoming film Madras directed by Attakathi director Pa. Ranjith is in the verge of completion. The post production work is happening in full swing. Karthi will start shooting for Muthiah's film from next month after he is done with Madras. However an official announcement regarding the project is expected soon.
