Yaan deals with human rights issue
Yaan starring Jiiva and Thulasi Nair in the lead roles is directed by cinematographer turned director Ravi K Chandran. Music score by Harris Jayaraj. The audio of Yaan has been launched recently. The team had held a press meet a couple of days ago.
Jiiva, Thulasi, Ravi K Chandran, Producer Elred Kumar and lyricist Thamarai were present at the press meet. Ravi K Chandran while talking about the film had said that it deals with a very sensitive human rights issue. It is based on a newspaper article and is about how a happy-go-lucky guy gets trapped in a problem. The director however didn't reveal much about the issue being addressed in the film.
Important portions of the film were shot in Morocco. The team initially faced problems shooting in Morocco as the climate was not suitable at that time and there were also some visa issues. The team had waited for the right moment to shoot the Morocco schedule which is the reason behind the film's delay.
Jiiva who is very much confident of the script had said that the film will be an important film in his career. It will be a complete entertainer and definitely strike a chord with the audience. The team is ready with the trailer and has planned to release it in a grand trailer launch event.
