Bala Sasikumar film titled Thaarai Thappattai

Bala is all set to begin work on his next film after Paradesi. The film has been titled Thaarai Thappattai. Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar play the lead roles. It is based on the popular folk dance Karagattam. The film is expected to go on floors soon.

Ilayaraja scores the music. The maestro has already recorded 12 songs for the film. This film is said to be Isaignani Ilayaraja's 1000th film. 

Sasikumar will be essaying a role of a Nadaswaram player while Varalakshmi will be seen as a Karagattam dancer. Every actor who has worked in a Bala film has gone through a complete makeover, and Sasikumar is no different. Sasikumar has undergone a major transformation for his role. The actor has shaved off his trademark beard and sports a pencil moustache. The actor will also be sporting a curly hairstyle. 

Varalakshmi Sarathkumar is also getting ready for her role. The actress has been hitting the gym hard to lose weight. She has also started learning Karagattam from trained dancers.
