The teaser for the AI-reimagined version of Kochadaiyan has been released, powered by Eros’ ErosGenAI technology, bringing a modern visual upgrade to the 2014 motion-capture film. Directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, the film starred Rajinikanth in dual roles alongside Deepika Padukone in her Tamil debut and was once promoted as India’s first photorealistic performance motion-capture feature.

Sharing the teaser, Soundarya described the project as an emotional milestone, calling Kochadaiyan her “first leap of faith.” Reflecting on the film’s journey, she noted that the team had attempted something India had never done before at the time, adding that while the film challenged and changed her personally, the journey has continued to evolve with advancing technology.

Written by KS Ravikumar, the historical drama follows a warrior seeking justice after his father is wrongfully punished by a rival ruler. The film also featured Aadhi Pinisetty, Nassar, Shobana, and Rukmini Vijayakumar, with music by AR Rahman.

A release date for the AI-remastered version is yet to be announced.
