Parasakthi producer Aakash Bhaskaran has clarified the reason behind preponing the film’s release to January 10, addressing the speculation doing the rounds.

He stated that the film was planned for a Pongal release from the very first day of shooting. However, distributors and theatre owners later requested an earlier release, as screen allocation would become difficult if the film released on January 14.

Aakash Bhaskaran added that the decision was taken purely based on theatre scheduling concerns, with exhibitors suggesting a release four days earlier to avoid logistical conflicts. He also dismissed the rumours of intended clash, saying that Pongal can comfortably accommodate two films, and that the controversy being spread on social media is unnecessary.
