Thalapathy Vijay's Full Speech at the Jana Nayagan Audio Launch in Malaysia

“En Nenjil Kudiyirukkum… Vanakkam! Nalla Irukingala?”

With these opening words, Thalapathy Vijay addressed the audience at the JanaNayagan audio launch in Malaysia, delivering a speech that reflected gratitude, reflection, and clarity about his journey and future.

Malaysia and Tamil Identity

Vijay shared that after Sri Lanka, Malaysia feels equally close to his heart. Wherever Tamils go, they make the land their own through hard work and culture. Seeing Tamils as strong pillars of Malaysian society filled him with pride.

He pointed out how deeply Tamil culture is respected in Malaysia, citing Malay devotees carrying Kaavadi to Murugan temples and Chinese Malaysians speaking fluent Tamil. According to him, these are clear signs of how Tamil culture is preserved and widely embraced in the country.

He thanked the Malaysian Tamil community for protecting the Tamil language and for their constant support of Tamil cinema. Malaysia, he said, has always been an important market and filming destination, recalling films like Billa, Kuruvi, and Kaavalan that remain special because of the love received there.

He quoted, “Yaadhum Oorey, Yaavarum Kelir.”

Cinema and His Journey

Calling cinema a vast space of learning, Vijay said he once wanted to build something small, but the people helped him create something far bigger.

In his 33-year journey, he faced struggles and criticism, yet his fans stood by him from the beginning. He said he has now decided to stand with the people for the next 30 to 33 years.

He stated that for the fans who gave up everything for him, he is ready to step away from cinema. He added that he does not believe in simply saying thank you, but in giving back with gratitude.

Kutti Story and Life Message

Vijay narrated a short story about an umbrella passed from one needy person to another, eventually returning to the man who first gave it.

The message, he said, was simple: do good as long as you can, because it gives life meaning. He urged people to choose forgiveness over revenge and reminded that life is meant for compassion, not harm.

Team Appreciation

Vijay appreciated the entire JanaNayagan team. He praised Anirudh Ravichander for delivering music that brings happiness across songs, background score, and overall sound. He described director H. Vinoth as someone who delivers socially responsible cinema with strong commercial appeal.

He commended Bobby Deol for his powerful performance, Mamitha Baiju for being a perfect family-friendly presence, Pooja Hegde for her elegance, and Prakash Raj for continuing their memorable on-screen association since Ghilli. He also thanked KVN Productions for standing strong through challenges, along with all choreographers, technicians, and editors for their commitment.

Key Thoughts

Vijay said growth in life requires strong opposition, as victory holds meaning only then.

When asked whether he comes alone or with a group, he responded that he has never been alone. For 33 years, he has been with his people, and together they form a large collective.

He asked everyone to let certain things remain a suspense and concluded with a reminder to do what one says. Referring to 2026, he said history will repeat itself.

Live Performances

Vijay performed Nenjukulla Kudiyirukkum from Bigil and Thalapathy Kacheri from JanaNayagan, receiving an overwhelming response from the audience.

Q and A Highlights

When asked who could replace him in cinema, he replied that people know whom to place and where.

On why he speaks more now, he answered that the cup matters and timing is important.

One-word responses:
God – Fans
Mother – God
Betrayal – Most disliked
Victory – Humility
Failure – Try again with effort

Closing Moment

The event concluded with a final group selfie and loud cheers, as Vijay thanked Malaysia for the love and support.
