Parasakthi has been sent to the Revising Committee (RC) after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) reportedly sought major cuts. The objections are said to be primarily related to scenes depicting the anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu during the late 1960s. Following this, the makers have approached the RC for a fresh review.
The film is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on January 10, a date that was officially preponed from January 14. This announcement has triggered widespread discussion on social media, with speculation growing about a potential box-office clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in key roles, with music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Further clarity regarding the Telugu release plan is expected from the makers in the coming days.
