Jailer 2 with Superstar Rajinikanth as the headliner is a Nelson Dilipkumar directed Tamil action comedy, that comes as a sequel to the blockbuster hit Jailer (2023). Kannada star actor Shiva Rajkumar made a cameo appearance as 'Narasimha' in the first movie. In a recent interview, 'Shivanna' (as Shiva Rajkumar is fondly known) revealed that he is Chennai to complete his portions for Jailer 2. 

Shivarajkumar will be shooting for Jailer 2 on December 23, 2025 and by January 8, 2026 to January 10, 2026, his will be wrapping his portions in the sequel. The actor has revealed that Narasimha's portions in Jailer 2 will be 'a little bigger' than his portions in Jailer. 

Shivanna has also said that Jailer 2 is a direct sequel, and will be a continuation of Jailer. A Sun Pictures produced multi-starrer, Jailer revolved around "Tiger" Muthuvel Pandian, a grieving father who is forced to resurrect his brutal past as a legendary jailer, unleashing a network of reformed criminals and a daring temple heist. What life holds for the titular character after he confronts his own corrupt son, is what is expected to unfold in Jailer 2.
