After days of speculation, Parasakthi is now likely to be preponed to January 10, setting up a close Pongal box-office clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s #JanaNayagan. Earlier reports had suggested a possible preponement, but sources had then clarified to Moviecrow that it was only social media chatter.

However, the latest developments indicate a shift. Sources reveal that select theatres in Tamil Nadu have been informed about a January 10 release, with agreements reportedly signed. Additionally, a few overseas exhibitors have also been notified about the revised date.

Adding weight to the development, the makers have stopped promoting the film with the January 14 release date. Recent promotional materials now simply mention “Parasakthi – From Pongal”, hinting at an imminent date change. It is said that the official announcement will be made after the censor formalities are completed.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in key roles, with music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Further clarity is expected soon from the makers.
