Superstar Rajinikanth turns 75 on December 12, 2025 (Friday), and Malaysia, home to a massive Tamil crowd, is gearing up for not one but two re-releases of Rajini movies marking the occassion. A remastered 4K version of Padayappa (1999) is releasing in countries like India, Germany, Singapore, and Malaysia, and 3 Dot Movies is presenting the Padayappa re-release in Malaysia.

Baashha (1995), another cult blockbuster of Rajinikanth's is also re-releasing in Malaysia marking Rajinikanth's birthday, and bookings for the movie are already open at the moment. LFS Cinemas is presenting Baasha re-release in Malaysia.

Padayappa on the other hand is an action drama written and directed by KS Ravikumar with AR Rahman for music, and an ensemble comprising names like Sivaji Ganesan, Ramya Krishnan, Soundarya, Lakshmi, Sithara, Radha Ravi, Nassar, Manivannan, Senthil, Abbas, Preetha, among others.
