Bison Kaalamaadan starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead is a Tamil sports action biopic about a defiant young kabaddi player, who amid caste wars and rural rivalries of 1990s Tamil Nadu, rises from oppression to become “Bison” — the unstoppable symbol of resistance and pride.

The movie written and directed by Mari Selvaraj, and produced by Applause Entertainment, and Tamil film director Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions, completes 4 weeks of theatrical run on October 13, 2025. Bison is scheduled for its digital premiere on Netflix, and at this time, it is being buzzed that Bison Kaalamaadan's OTT release date is November 21, 2025 (Friday). An official announcement on the same is however awaited. 

Bison stars Dhruv Vikram as "Vanathi" Kittan, a kabaddi prodigy who defys violent feuds, social prejudice, and his father’s fears to chase an impossible dream — representing India at the Asian Games. Actor Pasupathi plays Dhruv Vikram's father Velusamy, while the movie also stars Ameer as Pandiaraj, Lal as Kandasamy (voice dubbed by TNB Kathiravan), Anupama Parameswaran as Raani, Rajisha Vijayan as Raaji (voice dubbed by Raveena Ravi), Azhagam Perumal as Kandeeban, among others. 

Bison Kaalamaadan comes with a runtime of 168 minutes [2 hours 48 minutes]. The technical crew of Bison includes Nivas K Prasanna for music, Ezhil Arasu K. for cinematography, and Sakthi Thiru for edits. Bison Kaalamaadan will be available to stream on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
