Bison Kaalamaadan starring actor Dhruv Vikram in the lead is a Mari Selvaraj directed sports biopic based on the Arjuna award winning Kabaddi player from Tamil Nadu, Manathi P Ganesan. Bison produced by Applause Entertainment, and director Pa Ranjith's Neelam Studios, released in theaters on October 17, 2025 and completes four weeks of theatrical run on October 13, 2025. 

At this time, it has been officially announced that Bison Kaalamaadan's four-week theatrical collection is Rs. 70 Cr+. in worldwide gross. Bison, a sports action drama, is set in 1990s Tamil Nadu, and tells the story of an opressed-caste kabaddi prodigy defying violent feuds, social prejudice, and his father’s fears to chase an impossible dream — representing India at the Asian Games.

Dhruv Vikram plays "Vanathi" Kittan in Bison, whereas actor Pasupathi plays his father Velusamy. With Nivas K Prasanna for music, Bison Kaalamaadan also stars Ameer as Pandiaraj, Lal as Kandasamy (Voice dubbed by TNB Kathiravan), Anupama Parameswaran as Raani, Rajisha Vijayan as Raaji (Voice dubbed by Raveena Ravi), Azhagam Perumal as Kandeeban, among others. Bison will make its OTT release on the Netflix streaming platform in multiple languages.
