As per media reports, actor Santhanam has joined the sets of Jailer 2, marking his return to a full-fledged comedy role after a long time. The actor, who had transitioned into lead and serious roles in recent years, is reportedly set to bring back his signature humor in this much-awaited sequel.

Jailer 2 features a massive star cast including Superstar Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, and Anna Rajan in her Tamil debut. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the film is reportedly eyeing a Summer 2026 release.
