Avatar is an American epic science fiction franchise of films, created and directed by acclaimed Hollywood director James Cameron. Part 1 Avatar (2009) is set in the future year 2154, where the Earth is dying, and humanity exploits a distant moon for survival, infiltrating the native Na’vi, who ultimately rebel to protect their sacred land from destruction.
Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) a paraplegic ex-Marine, who goes from human to Na’vi in Avatar (2009), faces an even greater test in a story set sixteen years later, in part 2 of this franchise titled Avatar: The Way of Water (2022). The Resources Development Administration (RDA) returns with resurrected enemies, forcing Jake and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) to protect their children, unite with the sea clans, and wage a new battle for the survival of their family and world.
Avatar: Fire And Ash (2025) is part 3 of this James Cameroon franchise, and is set 1 year after Jake and Neytiri's family settling in with the Metkayina Clan. In Avatar: Fire And Ash, they encounter a new, aggressive Na'vi tribe called the Ash People, led by the fiery tribe leader, Varang (Oona Chaplin), who has allied with Jake's enemy, Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), as the conflict on Pandora escalates to devastating consequences.
