Pa Ranjith Updates on Sarpatta2: Political Drama & Boxing Sequences Ready

In a recent interview on the Avudaiappan Talks podcast, director Pa Ranjith shared updates on Sarpatta Parambarai 2, confirming that the script is ready and shooting will begin after completing Vettuvam.

He said, "I was supposed to have completed Vettuvam in July, but it got bigger. We have about 15-20 days of shoot, and once that is over, I will have to take up Sarpatta 2, the script work which is already done. I should re-write and start with the shooting. It will be more political drama and will be interesting. The boxing parts have come out well. We are trying to recreate the world.”

Set in the 1970s North Chennai boxing culture, the film will focus on political drama alongside thrilling boxing sequences.

Arya is expected to reprise his role, with the director aiming to recreate the original world with more depth and intensity.Pa Ranjith did not reveal if the film will be a prequel or sequel, but can expect a gripping mix of sports and politics when the project kicks off.
