Three new Tamil movies have made their digital premiere on OTT this week, and here is a quick glance on what these films are about, and where to stream them:
1. Maargan (Amazon Prime Video)
Maargan's OTT release date is July 25, 2025 (Friday). A crime thriller written, directed, and edited by Leo John Paul in his directorial debut, Maargan stars Vijay Antony in the lead, and follows the story of ADGP Dhruv (Vijay Antony), who haunted by his daughter's murder, investigates a new killing with the same eerie pattern.
As he uncovers clues linking to a mysterious swimmer, he races against time to stop a cunning serial killer driven by dark secrets. Maargan comes with a runtime of 131 minutes, and is streaming in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam in India.
Outside India, Maargan is available to stream on Sun NXT, and Tentkotta OTT platforms.
2. Rajaputhiran (Aha Tamil)
Rajaputhiran's OTT release date is July 25, 2025 (Friday). A drama written, and directed by Maha Kandhan, Rajaputhiran stars Prabhu, and Vetri in the lead.
The movie follows the story of a principled farmer Chellaiah (Prabhu), who must confront the collapse of his values when his son Patta (Vetri) falls prey to a dangerous money-laundering network, forcing a father-son reckoning where honor, survival, and redemption collide.

Rajaputhiran comes with a runtime of 139 minutes, and also stars Krishna Priya, Komal Kumar, Imman Annachi, RV Udaya Kumar, Livingston, Thangadurai, among others.
3. Padai Thalaivan (Amazon Prime Video)
In India, Padai Thalaivan's OTT release date is July 23, 2025 (Wednesday). An action film written by Parthiban Desingu, and directed by U. Anbu, Padai Thalaivan stars Shanmuga Pandian in the lead, and has a special AI cameo by his late father, actor Vijayakanth.
In a quiet village, Velu (Shanmuga Pandian) and his father (Kasthuri Raja) live with their elephant Maniyan. When a priest's group takes Maniyan away, a heartbroken Velu sets out to rescue his cherished companion.
Padai Thalaivan has Ilaiyaraaja for music, and comes with a runtime of 134 minutes.
