Kuberaa Preview - Reasons to watch Dhanush, Nagarjuna movie!

Kuberaa starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna in the lead is a Sekhar Kammula directed social drama that releases in theaters worldwide on June 20, 2025. Kuberaa bookings are now open across the globe, and here are some quick reasons to watch the film in theaters this Friday:

1. Fresh Combinations:

Kuberaa marks the maiden collaboration of Tamil star actor Dhanush with Telugu filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. The director is known for being an auteur in social realism, and comes packing a ton of critical acclaim for his craft. Sekhar Kammula made his Tamil debut with the Nayanthara starrer mystery thriller Nee Enge En Anbe, better known by its Telugu title Anaamika (2014). It would be interesting to see what the filmmaker has in the offing with a male Tamil lead this time around.

Kuberaa also marks the first time collaboration between actors Dhanush and Nagarjuna. Two power house talents sharing equal screen space makes the film worth looking forward to.

Another fresh combination that Kuberaa offers is the onscreen pairing of Dhanush as Deva, and Rashmika Mandanna as Sameera.

2. Nostalgic Reunion:

Between 2010 and 2011, Devi Sri Prasad had composed music for two of Dhanush's films titled Kutty (2010) and Venghai (2011). Kuberaa marks Dhanush and Devi Sri Prasad's reunion after 14 years, and the album is nothing short of impactful. Kuberaa's music is another factor that makes the film worth anticipating on the big screen.

3. Theme:

Kuberaa makers describe the film as '181 minutes of drama, emotion, love, greed, thrill, and everything in between'. The film's story revolves around a disillusioned chartered accountant named Deepak (Nagarjuna), who enlists beggars to impersonate businessmen, and launder black money from corrupt tycoons (Jim Sarbh, Dalip Tahil, etc). But Deepak's perfect scam unravels when one of them called Deva (Dhanush), turns the tables, and launches his own game of betrayal, and survival.

4. Striking Technicals:

Going by the teasers and trailers, Kuberaa has top notch cinematography (Niketh Bommi) and action ( 'Stunts' Sree) in the offing besides the music (Devi Sri Prasad), and the drama (Sekhar Kammula).
