Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Trisha, Joju George, among others is a Mani Ratnam directed Tamil movie that is all set to release in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2025. Thug Life bookings opened in India on Sunday, June 1, and within 24 hours a staggering 52, 500 tickets have been sold on the popular movie ticket website BookMyShow. 

Thug Life's massive pre-sales number comes before the bookings have even opened on major multiplex chains like PVR and INOX. Additionally, Thug Life's advance bookings remain unopened in Karnataka due to the ban imposed by the state's film chamber over Kamal Haasan's remark that 'Kannada is born out of Tamil'. 

With 3 days to go for Thug Life's release, a big box-office opening is expected going by the advance sales trend in India. Thug Life is set to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.
