The Expectations for Selvaraghavan's Mayakkam Enna was very high not only from Kollywood fans but also equally from Tollywood fans as they expected a dubbed version of the same film. Many of his Telugu were disappointed that the film did not have a simultaneous release in Andhra Pradesh along with the Tamil version Mayakkam Enna on 25/11/11. They had expressed their emotions through Twitter for which Selvaraghavan has also responded back.
Selvaraghavan enjoys a good fan base in Andhra after his success of 7/G Brindhavan Colony which was a bi-lingual film & it became a cult film for the rawness & impact it created in 2004. Then this was followed by the great success of Aadavari Maatalaku ardhale veru (Yaaradi Nee Mohini's Original version) & Yuganiki Okkadu ( Aayirathil Oruvan's dubbed version). Pudhupettai was also dubbed as Dhoolpeta but it appealed only to a certain section of audiences but now many still keep demanding for the original DVD.
Selavaraghavan has come to a conclusion that he will remake Mayakkam Enna in Telugu with a top Actor there very soon after he completes Irandam Ulagham. we have to wait & watch till the official confirmation comes from the Director himself.
