Kubera, titled after the Hindu God of wealth is an upcoming PAN-Indian movie starring Tamil star actor Dhanush in the lead. Kubera is Dhanush's 51st film, and also stars Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh among others.

Written and directed by Telugu filmmaker Shekar Kammula, Kubera had a first glimpse release recently, which showcased Dhanush as a street-dweller, Nagajuna as a middle class man living in a city with his wife and daughter, Jim Sarbh as a rich businessman, and Rashmika Mandanna as a woman frustrated with her lower middle-class life.

With the exception of Jim Sarbh, everyone else is also shown coming into a ton of money in the Kubera first glimpse, and the story behind the same is expected to be the core of the movie. Latest on this film is that plans are on for Kubera to release on February 21, 2025 (Friday), or February 27, 2025 (Thursday). An official announcement on the same is currently awaited.

A production venture of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, Kubera has Devi Sri Prasad for music,  Niketh Bommi for cinematography, Thota Tharani for production design, Karthika Srinivas for edits, Kavya Sriram, Poorvaa Jain for costume design, Ashok Mocharla, Nagu Talari as VFX supervisors, and Kabilan for publicity design. 

Kubera is co-written by Chaithanya Pingali, and has Aditya Music label as its audio partner. The movie is scheduled to release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages.
