Thalapathy 69 buzzed to be inspired from Bhagavanth Kesari

Thalapathy 69 (tentative title) is actor Vijay's last film before his big foray into politics. The movie has been described as an action thriller with hints of politics by film's writer, director H Vinoth. Originally written for Kamal Haasan, Thalapathy 69 was later picked up by KVN Productions, which is making its debut in Tamil with this movie.

 

Latest buzz about Thalapathy 69 is that the Vijay starrer takes inspiration from the Anil Ravipudi directed Bhagavanth Kesari (2023) which stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead. Reportedly, a Thalapathy 69 scene involving 'good touch and bad touch' is said to have been taken from Bhagavanth Kesari, though only an official word can confirm how much of truth there is to this update. 


Thalapathy 69 also stars Pooja Hedge, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol among others, and the film being linked to Bhagavanth Kesari has already lead to fan speculations that these three actors will be playing roles similar to Kajal Aggarwal, Sreeleela, Arjun Rampal from the original. Bhagavanth Kesari is currently available to stream on Jio Cinema, Amazon Prime Video OTT platforms.

Thalapathy 69 has completed 16 days of shooting in its current Chennai schedule. Recently actor Vijay was spotted arriving at a college for filming, and was mobbed by fans.
