KVN Productions known for producing Kannada movies is making its Tamil debut with actor Vijay's last film, Thalapathy 69 (tentative title). The movie written and directed by H. Vinoth has now been revealed to be a cop story.

Thalapathy 69 is director H Vinoth's third cop film after Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), and Valimai (2022). Thalapathy 69 reportedly has Vijay playing a former cop, and the story will include focus on why his character left the squad. 

A multi-starrer with actors Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Narain, Prakash Raj, Monisha Blessy in its ensemble, Thalapathy 69 has Anirudh Ravichander for music. The movie's technical crew also includes Sathyan Sooryan for cinematography, Pradeep E Ragav for edits. 

The film's second schedule of shooting is set to resume in November, 2024.
