An official announcement on actor Dhanush's 52nd film dropped on Tuesday, officially confirming that that movie will also be Dhanush's fourth film as director. Tentatively going by D 52/ DD 4, this project has been buzzed to be titled Idli Kadai though an official announcement on the same awaits.

The cast of D 52/ DD 4 also includes Nithya Menen, who is reuniting with Dhanush after sharing screen space with the actor in the hit rom-com Thiruchitrambalam (2022). Other actors in D 52/DD 4 are Arun Vijay, Ashok Selvan, Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, among others. Dhanush has previously directed Rajkiran in his debut directorial Pa Paandi (2017). 

GV Prakash who has composed for Dhanush's third directorial Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, has reunited with Dhanush on Idli Kadai. The composer is said to have completed two songs already for D 52/ DD4 which is a production venture of Dawn Pictures.
