Raayan, written, directed and lead by actor Dhanush is an upcoming Tamil language ganster action that is all set to release in theaters on July 26, 2024. On Tuesday evening, it was officially announced that Raayan has cleared censor with an A. Raayan's runtime is  2 hours 25 minutes and 12 seconds i.e. 145.12 minutes.

Raayan's plot revolves around the titular character who is a North Chennai simpleton, dragged into the dreaded world of crime and manipulation, after a series of unfortunate events. Raayan is the first Sun Pictures production to release with an A rating. 

The multi-starrer movie with AR Rahman for music, will see Dhanush face SJ Suryah's character head-on. Raayan also stars Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Dushara Vijayan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar among others.
