Tamil film Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan in the lead is all set for a worldwide release on July 12, 2024. Indian 2 lead actor Kamal Haasan, director Shankar and other actors of the movie have been promoting the film's release in by making appearances in different permutations and combinations. 

Lyca Productions, the banner behind Indian 2, and its sequel Indian 3 which is expected to release in the next 6 months, have left no stone unturned in advertising the upcoming movies. Even events like the Indian 2 audio launch which took place in Chennai a whole month ago, were recently broadcast on TV, and made available to stream on YouTube and OTT platforms.

Kamal Haasan has now addressed this topic of promoting a movie, and the online and offline efforts that go into making it happen. "People say that I spend a lot of time on promotions [Indian 2 is coming at the heels of Telugu movie Kalki 2898 AD, which also had Kamal Haasan extensively promoting]. I must let you know [about the movie I've come up with]. Like how you (the audience) let me know (of the appreciation) with applause, I must let you know when my product comes out,\", said Kamal Haasan at a Indian 2 promotional stage at Hyderabad. 

The Ulaganayagan further compared himself to a street vendor and concluded, "Any salesman on the street,  or the street vendor will know that you have to tell the people what you are selling." Indian 2 written and directed by Shankar is the second film in the Indian franchise, and comes 28 years since the original blockbuster Indian (1996) released. 

The movie is scheduled to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada languages in 2D, Imax, 4DX formats. Indian 2 is a vigilante action, and sees the return of Kamal Haasan as the ageing lead character Senapathy. The film has Anirudh for music.
