Civil War (2024) written and directed by Alex Garland, and starring Kirsten Dunst in the lead is a Hollywood dystopian thriller that released in theaters on April 12, 2024. The movie is making its digital premiere in India, and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Civil War's OTT release date is June 28, 2024. 

Civil War follows a group of journalists in a dystopian USA, where everyone's documenting the dying days of a conflict between forces loyal to the American president, and a rebel alliance of secessionists. Kirsten Dunst plays the lead character named Lee Smith (a reference to famed World War II photojournalist Lee Miller), who is a renowned war photojournalist from Colorado, and the youngest-ever member of the Magnum Photos cooperative.

Dunst's real-life husband Jesse Plemmons makes a cameo as the racist ultranationalist militant, who holds the journalists at gunpoint in Civil War.
