Director Venkat Prabhu cannot breathe in peace these days, especially on the social media platform X. The filmmaker who is currently busy with his upcoming directorial venture The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT), is in a update-nag-jail if one will.

Every time Venkat Prabhu makes an X post, the quotes and comments go cray-cray asking for updates on The GOAT, which stars Tamil cinema's popular star actor and soon-to-be politician Vijay, in the lead. Every two days, Venkat Prabhu is spotted reassuring the legion of Vijay fans that an update on The GOAT is dropping 'sometime soon'.

But fans seem to want a more concrete timeline, and they have not shied away from expressing the same on X. On Friday Venkat Prabhu took to X to promote fellow filmmaker Thangar Bachan's upcoming movie, the details of which are currently unknown. Within seconds, Vijay fans camped this Venkat Prabhu post, and the outcome is quite hilarious for a movie promotion taking an undesirable turn.

It is worth mentioning here that Venkat Prabhu isn't the only filmmaker promoting Thangar Bachan's new film on X. However the reactions to Venkat Prabhu's post is starkly different from those of other filmmakers namely - Gautham Vasudev Menon, R. Prathiban among others. 

Quite recently, Venkat Prabhu's post congratulating actor Ajith's new film announcement had also taken a similar hilarious turn. Venkat Prabhu had previously directed Ajith in Mankatha (2011), and Ajith and the director's current hero Vijay, are pegged as 'rivals' in the Tamil film industry.
