Kubera starring Dhanush in the lead is an upcoming Sekhar Kammula directorial which also has Telugu star Nagarjuna playing an important role. The movie has kicked off a new schedule in Bangkok. Sharing working sills of the behind-the-scenes (BTS) action featuring actor Nagarjuna, who is said to be playing a police officer, director Sekhar Kammula, and the crew, Kubera's official X handle updated that talkie portions will be shot in the Thailand capital. 

A joint production venture of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and director Sekhar Kammula's Amigos Creations, Kubera also stars Rashmika Mandanna as female lead and Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh in an important role. The first look of the film featured Dhanush in a disheveled, unkempt look, and word has it that Dhanush's character arc in Kubera goes from a beggar to a mafia power.

The technical crew of Kubera includes Devi Sri Prasad for music, Niketh Bommi for cinematography, Ramakrishna Sabbani and Monika Nigotre for art. Kubera is scheduled to release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
