As reported previously, it has now been officially announced that Kodi (2016) fame Anupama Parameswaran is on board Mari Selvaraj, Dhruv Vikram's Kabbadi film as female lead. The official announcement of Anupama coming on board this sports biopic was accompanied by an image of the actress posing alongside film's lead actor Dhruv, director Mari Selvaraj, and Neelam Productions producers including director Pa. Ranjith. 

 The film based on former Kabaddi player and Arjuna awardee Manathi P. Ganesan.
