After Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 and 2, ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam is currently making another multi-starrer titled Thug Life, which stars Kamal Haasan in the lead and actors Dulquer Salmaan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, Joju George in important roles. 

Recently the first schedule of Thug Life shooting wrapped, and portions involving Kamal Haasan, Joju George and actress Abhirami were said to have been filmed during this schedule. Kamal Haasan left to the US on January 31, 2024 to resume work on Shankar directed Indian 2, and the Ulaganayagan is next expected to begin Thug Life at Siberia in Russia. 

Actors Dulquer Salman, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Gautham Karthik are expected to join Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam in Siberia for Thug Life's second schedule of shooting.
