Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film following the success of Jailer is Vettaiyan, and the film is currently in its shooting stage. The latest update on this project is that Vettaiyan has entered its final shooting schedule in Andhra Pradesh (AP), and Rajinikanth was seen at the Chennai airport taking a flight to Vijayawada earlier today .

Vettaiyan is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim (2021) fame. A Lyca Productions venture, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan among others, and has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
