A few days ago there was a widespread buzz about actor Vijay's last film before his official political entry, and suggestions about who would be directing it. Latest we hear, no filmmaker has been finalized yet for 'Thalapathy 69', which is expected to be Vijay's last outing for a while. 

As opposed to suggestions that Karthik Subbaraj might be directing Thalapathy 69, it is being said that Vijay is currently listening to scripts from Telugu directors for Thalapathy 69. Two Tollywood filmmakers are already said to have had script discussions with Vijay. 

The actor on the other hand is currently busy shooting for The Greatest Of All Time with director Venkat Prabhu. Vijay is expected to wrap The GOAT by March, and make his political presence known by the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, which is set to take place between April and May. 

After Thalapathy 69, Vijay is expected to contest directly in the 2026 Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly Elections.
