The bygone week i.e. January 15, 2024 - January 19, 2024 saw two new Tamil movies make their digital premiere on OTT platforms and here is a quick look at what these films were:

1. Joe (OTT Release Date - January 15, 2024)

A rom-com written and directed by debutant Hariram S, Joe stars actor Rio Raj in the titular role.  Joe released in theaters on November 24, 2023 and made its digital premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on January 15, 2024. The film is available to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages with English subtitles. 

Also starring Malavika Manoj and Bhavya Trikha in the lead roles, Joe revolves around the titular character's college hear-break and his reluctant entry into an arranged marriage. The movie comes with a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes and has Siddhu Kumar for music.  

2. Odavum Mudiyadhu Oliyavum Mudiyadhu (OTT release date - January 19, 2024)  

Titled after a catchphrase popularized by Kamal Haasan hosted reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil, Odavum Mudiyadhu Oliyavum Mudiyadhu (OMOM) is a horror comedy directed by debutant Ramesh Venkat. The movie released in theaters on December 29, 2023 and made its digital premiere on Aha Tamil on January 19, 2024. 

OMOM comes with a runtime of of 2 hours and revolves around a group of diverse characters that are trapped in a theatre, and are forced to spend time under the threat of a paranormal presence. The film comes with an ensemble of Sathyamurthi V, Gopi Aravindh, Sudhakar Jayaraman, Vijay Kumar Rajendran, Munishkanth, George Maryan, Sha Ra, Yashika Aannand, Riythvika, Crane Manohar, Abdool, VJ Ashiq among others.
