Captain Miller climax was shot for 32 days, reveals director Arun Matheswaran

Captain Miller starring Dhanush in the lead is a period action drama that releases in theaters today i.e. January 12, 2024. The movie is written and directed by Arun Matheswaran, who has films like Rocky (2021) and Saani Kaayidham (2022) to his credit. Talking about Captain Miller which marks the filmmaker's first collaboration with an established male star like Dhanush, Arun Matheswaran revealed that he shot the climax alone for 32 days.

In contrast, Arun Matheswaran's debut directorial Rocky was filmed in its entirety within a timespan of 37 days. The filmmaker confirmed that Captain Miller will be bigger in scale from all of his other films, and this will especially be seen in the action sequences of the Dhanush starrer.

While Captain Miller is an old school action film according to Arun Matheswaran, the director also confesses that it is his least violent movie yet. Confirming that there is indeed a sequel to Captain Miller, Arun Matheswaran has said that this would not affect the film's climax however. The director has said that Captain Miller will have a proper start point and the end point graph, and despite a link for the sequel, this film won't feel incomplete.
