Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA, Golden Globe winning music composer AR Rahman has shown one too many facets of his talent to the world, but dancing, that too in front of the camera, and for a movie song isn't one of them. In a first for the Isai Puyal (as he is fondly known), AR Rahman put his dancing shoes on for Maanja Nee, the fourth single from upcoming Tamil movie Ayalaan starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. The Maanja Nee song also has Ayalaan director R. Ravikumar match steps with Sivakarthikeyan, and AR Rahman. The filmmaker also does a bit of interpretive dance in the video. AR Rahman on the other hand  has a 'total mood' moment in the full song, which is choreographed by Sandy.

Ayalaan is a sci-fi comedy with an outer space being (voiced by actor Siddharth), as a pivotal character. The movie produced by 24 AM Studios, KJR Studios and Phantom FX Studios is scheduled to release in theaters on January 12, 2024.
