The trailer of Sivakarthikeyan lead sci-fi comedy Ayalaan, written and directed by R. Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai (2016) fame, is out now. Ayalaan's plot revolves around a lost but sassy outer space being (voice over by actor Siddharth), who hates being called 'alien' on earth. How he forms a bonding with Sivakarthikeyan and gang - Karunakaran, Yogi Babu, and how this unusual unit takes on villain Sharad Kelkar, is what forms the rest of the story. 

Ayalaan is scheduled to release in theaters on January 12, 2024 i.e. the Pongal/Sankranthi Friday. The movie is a production venture of 24 AM Studios, Phantom FX Studios, KJR Studios and has AR Rahman for music. Rakul Preet Singh plays female lead in Ayalaan,  that also stars  Isha Koppikar, David Broughton-Davies, Banupriya, Balasaravanan, Kothandam, Rahul Madhav among others. 

The film's technical crew also includes Nirav Shah for cinematography, Muthuraj.R for production design, Anbariv for action, Bejoy Arputharaj, Phantom FX for VFX, Redchillies.Color for DI, Ruben for edits,  Pallavi Singh, Neeraja Kona for costume design, Sachin Sudhakaran, Hariharan M (Sync Cinema) for sound design, Madhan Karky, Vivek for lyrics and Ganesh Acharya, Paresh Master, Sathish Krishnan for choreography. 

From the trailer, Ayalaan comes across as visually grand and the makers seem to have gone all out of VFX and CGI. The movie meets Dhanush's Captain Miller and Arun Vijay starrer Mission: Chapter 1 at the Tamil box-office this January 12.
