Dhruva Natchathiram Karnataka Theatrical Rights Sale Reaffirms Release Plans

Dhruva Natchathiram Chapter One Yuddha Kaandam is all set for a release on November 24, 2023, and director, producer Gautham Vasudev Menon has been seen promoting the film on several media platforms recently. However it would be an understatement to say that uncertainty looms over Dhruva Natchathiram's scheduled release even at this juncture. 

For starters, Dhruva Natchathiram is a long delayed project and the final version that is scheduled to release next Friday, alone has been in the making for several years now. Gautham Menon has admitted to his own lead star Vikram and other main actors like Vinayakan loosing interest in the project to an extent that they wouldn't pick up his calls for patchwork or promotions.

 

Menon has also admitted to re-writing character arcs in the movie because of the same, and except for Ritu Varma who plays female lead in Dhruva Natchahiram, none of the cast or crew have supported Menon in the movie's promotions.  Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies is the distributor of Dhruva Natchathiram in Tamil Nadu, yet there is no official announcement on the same.

 

 

Gautham Menon has also mentioned in interviews that the finances from pre-release deals like digital and satellite rights are instrumental for Dhruva Natchathiram's release in theaters, yet the supposed OTT rights sale to Netflix streaming platform and satellite rights sale to Kalaignar TV Tamil channel await closing.

 

At this point, Ondraga Entertainment has officially announced an update on the Karnataka release of Dhruva Natchathiram. This has reaffirmed the film's release plans and that the multi-starrer spy thriller is on track for its November 24 release.
