The audio rights in Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2 which is a Shankar directed sequel to the duo's 1996 superhit movie Indian, has been bagged by Sony Music. Indian 2 has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who is the current most sought after composer in the Tamil film industry. Sony Music label which has a long and strong association with Anirudh's works, is said to have bought the Indian 2 music rights for a record price. 

A Lyca Productions venture, Indian 2 is currently gearing up for a teaser release titled Indian 2 - An Intro. The video will be out at 5: 30 PM on November 3, 2023 [Friday]. Eminent film personalities like actor Rajinikanth, filmmaker SS Rajamouli, actor Aamir Khan, actor Mohanlal and actor Kichcha Sudeepa will be unveiling the video in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada respectively.
