Leo starring Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand among others is an upcoming gangster action thriller which is all set to release in theaters worldwide on October 19, 2023 [Thursday]. The movie has completed censor formalities, and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India has cleared the Tamil version of the movie with a runtime of 164. 27 minutes [2 hours 44 minutes 27 seconds].  

A production venture of 7 Screen Studios, Leo has been certified an U/A. The movie is an official adaptation of the graphic novel A History of Violence (1997) written by John Wagner and illustrated by Vince Locke. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is the third movie in the filmmaker's cinematic universe known as the LCU, which also has Karthi starrer Kaithi (2019) and Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram (2022) in it. 

Leo will see Vijay as a cafe owner named Parthiban, whose hidden identity is that of a gangster named Leo Das. Trisha plays Parthiban's wife Sathya, while actor Mathew Thomas plays their son and child actor Iyal plays the couple's daughter. Gautham Menon plays a cop and close friend of this family, while Priya Anand plays his wife. Actors Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Das play Leo Das' brothers namely Antony Das and Harold Das respectively.
