Thalapathy 68 (tentative title) is actor Vijay's next project after his upcoming October 19 release Leo. The movie which is a production venture of AGS Productions, is all set to begin shooting from first week of next month i.e. on or after October 3, 2023. Thalapathy 68 is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, and is buzzed to feature Vijay in dual roles of father and son.

One of actor Vijay's characters in the movie is also supposedly a RAW agent.  Thalapathy 68 comes with the tagline 'A Venkat Prabhu puzzle', and the movie has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music. An official announcement on the film's cast and crew is currently awaited.
