Suriya 43 (tentative title) is an upcoming grand scale project that marks the reunion of Soorarai Pottru (2020) team - writer, director Sudha Kongara, lead actor Suriya and music composer GV Prakash. The movie is said to go on floors from November, 2023 and latest we hear, there are major new additions to the film's cast.

Mollywood star actor Dulquer Salmaan is said to be playing Suriya's brother in the movie, where as the popular with Bollywood's OTT audience Vijay Varma has been roped in to play the villain. Vijay Varma has famously appeared in movies like Pink (2016), Gully Boy (2019), Darlings (2022), Lust Stories 2 (2023) and Season 2, 3 of the web-series Mirzapur. 

Malayalam actress Nazriya Nazim has been approached to play female lead in Suriya 43 but her casting is yet to be finalized.
