Jigarthanda DoubleX, a standalone sequel to director Karthik Subbaraj's 2014 acclaimed hit Jigarthanda finally had its teaser release today. The video showcases lead actors Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in gangster/actor-wannabe and filmmaker characters respectively, bringing back memories of the prequel which had a similar troupe. 

Jigarthanda DoubleX is set in 1975, and the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan. The movie is set to release in theaters this Diwali i.e. November, 2023.
