Dream Warrior Pictures produced Kaithi (2019) starring actor Karthi in the lead was the first film that kicked off the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The movie was followed up with Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram (2022), backed by a completely different production house i.e. Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI). Leo starring actor Vijay in the lead is the third film in this cinematic coup to come from one more production banner - 7 Screen Studio.

Leo is scheduled to hit theater screens worldwide on October 19, 2023 and the movie has so far had a single release titled Naa Ready and a theme track release titled Bloody Sweet. Latest we hear a second single from the movie will be unveiled mid September i.e. around the Vinayagar Chaturthi holiday. 

Leo is also gearing up for an audio launch event this month end. Leo's writer, director Lokesh Kanagaraj had previously stated the movie is like Kaithi and will not have too many songs in it. True to his words, buzz also has it that Leo album will only comprise of 2 songs and the rest will be theme tracks. Leo has Anirudh for music.
